چکیده
هدف اصلی پژوهش حاضر بررسی رابطه بین تضاد نمایندگی ناشی از تضاد بین کارفرما (سهامدار)-نماینده (مدیر) و عملکرد بانک‌های ایرانی است. بدین منظور فرضیه‌ای ارائه شده، که معناداری رابطه بین تضاد نمایندگی را با عملکرد بانک‌ها مورد بررسی و آزمون قرار می‌دهد. آزمون فرضیه با استفاده از تحلیل رگرسیونی و بکارگیری اطلاعات مربوط به 19 بانک طی سال‌های 1387-1392 انجام می‌شود. برای اندازه‌گیری تضاد نمایندگی از نسبت هزینه عملیاتی به فروش (درآمد عملیاتی) استفاده شده است همچنین به منظور کنترل اثر سایر عوامل موثر بر مدل، متغییر های کنترلی همچون نسبت بدهی، رشد درآمد، سود هر سهم، رشد کل دارایی‌ها، نسبت کل وام‌ها به کل دارایی، نسبت کل وام‌ها به کل سپرده‌ها و لگاریتم کل دارایی‌ها نیز در مدل مورد استفاده قرار گرفته‌اند. نتایج حاصل از پژوهش بیانگر این است که تضاد نمایندگی دارای رابطه منفی معناداری با عملکرد بانک‌ها در ایران می‌باشد.
